Aurora Gaming PH secured a spot in the knockout stage of the M7 World Championship after completing a dominant 2–0 sweep of Team Spirit on Thursday, January 15.
RORA seized control of the series in Game 1 with a massive wipeout at the 19-minute mark, instantly flipping the momentum and allowing the Filipinos to close out the opener shortly after.
Game 2 followed a similar script. Team Spirit jumped out to an early lead, but Aurora remained composed and gradually wrestled control behind the steady play of Demonkite and Domeng.
Once Aurora took over the map, the outcome was never in doubt, as they wrapped up the match in just over 18 minutes to complete the sweep.
With the win, Aurora Gaming PH advanced to the knockout stage, joining Aurora Gaming, Alter Ego, and Selangor Red Giants as early qualifiers.
