Things are looking up for the UST Golden Tigresses after they won their fourth game in their last five outings, beating the FEU Lady Tamaraws, 25-17, 25-18, 25-20, to cap round 1 of UAAP Season 88 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday.
Angge Poyos unleashed 16 points in UST’s second straight victory, which propelled them to prime position in the top 4 of the standings midway through the tournament.
The Golden Tigresses improved to 4-3, sharing the same record as the Lady Tamaraws who saw their three-game win streak snapped.
