Amiel Acido and the UST Growling Tigers aim to snap a four-game losing skid when they battle the still-winless UE Red Warriors in the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday, November 12.

Tip off is 2:00 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

At 5–5, UST sits in the middle of the standings and is desperate to regain momentum as the race for the Final Four heats up.

Acido hopes to build on his 10-point performance against UP in their last outing and help the Tigers rediscover their winning ways after a promising 5–1 start to the season.

UST faces a UE squad mired in a 17-game losing streak dating back to last year.

The Red Warriors (0–11) will also be without captain John Abate, who announced a season-ending injury.

Without Abate, Precious Momowei will be tasked to anchor UE’s offense after being limited to just four points in their last game also against the Fighting Maroons.

A victory will allow UST to break free from the mid-table deadlock and boost its Final Four aspirations.
