Camille Nolasco and the UP Fighting Maroons look to finally halt their six-game slide as they take on the defending champions NU Lady Bulldogs in the UAAP Season 88 women’s basketball tournament on Wednesday, October 29, at 10 a.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The Fighting Maroons (2-6) have been in a slump since their strong 2-0 start and will need another standout effort from Nolasco to challenge the title-contending Lady Bulldogs.

The sophomore guard has been one of the few bright spots for UP, coming off a 17-point, six-assist, and three-steal performance in their narrow loss to FEU.

NU (7-1), on the other hand, continues to flex its depth and defensive dominance, anchored by Player of the Week Angel Surada.

The two-way forward was unstoppable in their last game, recording 22 points, nine rebounds, and a staggering 11 steals to power the Lady Bulldogs to their seventh win of the season.

As both teams enter this second-round matchup with different motivations — NU to keep pace with league-leader UST and UP to revive its campaign — expect an intense battle between a title favorite and a team hungry for redemption.
