Meralco Bolts’ CJ Cansino and his girlfriend, lifestyle content creator Alliana Dolina, have always been known for their fun, best friend-type dynamic—on and offline.

Whenever Alliana posts her own content, Cansino never fails to pop up in the comments section—hyping her up while finding ways to make asar at the same time, much to the amusement of fans.

In an interview with One Sports, Cansino revealed that the teasing seen on social media is nothing new. It’s simply how they’ve always been.

“Wala naman, parang mag-bestfriend naman talaga kami ni Alliana,” Cansino shared. “Dinala ko na lang sa social media para makita din ng mga tao.”

“Actually ‘yon ‘yong palagi kong ginagawa sa kaniya, eh. Palagi siyang naiinis sa akin,” he said with a laugh. “Pero gano’n naman talaga ‘yong relationship naming dalawa. Talagang inaasar ko siya palagi. Maiinis siya pero maya-maya okay na kasi siguro sanay na din siya sa akin.”

And just like that, the basketball community joined in on the fun.

When PBA Rush shared his performance highlights from Meralco’s game against the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, the page jokingly captioned it:

“GRABE ‘YUNG BOYFRIEND NI ALLIANA!
CJ Cansino delivers a solid performance for the Meralco Bolts, logging 23 points, six rebounds, and four blocks against the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup!”

Cansino took the joke in stride, reposting it with his own witty remark:

“Makapag-caption 'tong PBA, kala mo ako 'yung non-showbiz boyfriend.”

Even on his birthday, the teasing didn’t stop.

The East Asia Super League (EASL) joined the fun, posting:

“Happy birthday pala sa boyfriend ni Alliana!
ENJOY THE DAY, CJ!
Wishing to see more half-court bombs in Year 26.”

To which CJ jokingly replied, “Salamat ha!”

All in good humor, of course.

At the end of the day, the former UP Fighting Maroons captain—and now one of the Meralco Bolts’ rising stars—continues to make his mark in Philippine basketball.

And of course, as fans would playfully say, bilang boyfriend ni Alliana!
