Cignal continues to have an answer for PLDT, adding another statement win to a growing list of recent victories in their head-to-head matchups.

The Super Spikers returned to the win column in emphatic fashion on Tuesday, sweeping the High Speed Hitters, 25-21, 25-19, 25-23, in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the FilOil Centre in San Juan.

"Masarap kasi makipaglaro sa mga matataas na players, like 'yung ranking nasa taas," said Erika Santos, who finished with 17 points.

"Naging motivation lang for us para matuto and gustuhin manalo. Pinusuhan talaga ng bawat isa, mula sa coaches hanggang players."

Gel Cayuna, who orchestrated the Super Spikers' offense with 18 excellent sets while also contributing nine markers, likewise emphasized the team's nothing-to-lose mindset.

"Nothing to lose naman kami," Cayuna said. “Kung anong meron kami, 'yun 'yung bibigay namin. Tinatrabaho namin 'yun sa training talaga. Eto na 'yun—eto na 'yung makikita niyo sa team namin."

The latest triumph followed a familiar script.

During the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference, Cignal snapped PLDT's 15-game winning streak, and this time around, they once again halted the High Speed Hitters' momentum just as they were emerging as the lone unbeaten team.

Head coach Shaq Delos Santos credited both preparation and respect for PLDT’s pedigree for fueling Cignal’s response.

"Kailangan mag-all out kami kasi gusto talaga namin manalo," Delos Santos said. "Champion team 'yan, alam namin na kapag gusto talaga nilang maglaro ng todo-todo, mahirap silang pigilan.”

"Malaking impact 'yung preparation going into this game. Alam namin na may kaya talaga 'yung team basta ginusto namin lahat na sundin 'yung game plan at maalagaan 'yung kondisyon namin," he added.

Cignal will look to sustain that momentum when it faces the Akari Chargers on Saturday, February 28, at the same venue.
