The import-less Cignal Super Spikers pull off a stunning sweep against the PLDT High Speed Hitters for their first win in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference.
No import, no problem for the Cignal Super Spikers.
After dropping their first two matches, the Super Spikers finally got on the board behind a stunning sweep of the PLDT High Speed Hitters, 25-17, 25-22, 25-21, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Tuesday, October 21.
Cignal, which was also without star spiker Vanie Gandler, is now 1-2 in Pool B, while giving PLDT their first loss after 15 games dating back to their perfect run in the PVL on Tour.
Before the game, PVL announcers said that the Super Spikers have parted ways with Greek import Eva Chantava after the coaches’ deliberations.
Gel Cayuna orchestrated a perfect outing for her squad with 20 excellent sets, to go along with six points.
Cignal will go for back-to-back wins against the Nxled Chameleons, while PLDT aims to get back on track against the unbeaten Farm Fresh Foxies.
Both games are set for Saturday, October 25, at the Ynares Center Montalban.
