The Cignal HD Spikers maintained their brilliant gameplay despite a long break during the PVL on Tour, sweeping the Akari Chargers to advance to the semifinals.
The Cignal HD Spikers played without rust despite a 17-day break, overwhelming the Akari Chargers in straight sets, 25–20, 25–11, 28–26, at the PhilSports Arena on Thursday, August 7.
Cignal will now advance to the semifinals of the preseason tournament, where they will face either the Nxled Chameleons or the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
