Fil-Canadian hitter Savi Davison is back in harness for the PLDT High Speed Hitters for the first time in the ongoing PVL on Tour.
CEBU CITY — Savi Davison is back just in the nick of time as the PLDT High Speed Hitters chase a quarterfinals spot in the PVL on Tour against fellow undefeated team Nxled Saturday at the University of San Jose-Recoletos Coliseum here.
Davison, who has yet to play for PLDT during this preseason, has been training with the team since she returned to Manila from her time off. As of press time, she was seen in uniform before the game and warming up with the High Speed Hitters.
Currently, the High Speed Hitters are 3-0 and are a win away from an outright quarterfinals berth.
However, they face stiff competition against the surging Nxled Chameleons who are also undefeated behind the revelation of rookie Lyann De Guzman and newcomer Jovelyn Fernandez, who are both feeding off the veteran presence of Chiara Permentilla and EJ Laure.
But PLDT boast a wide arsenal of its own, riding high on the offense of Kiesha Bedonia and Jovelyn Prado
Also holding their ground for the High Speed Hitters in the middle are Majoy Baron and Mika Reyes.
Fit-again Kianna Dy is also returning to her lethal form since making her return early this year from a lengthy layoff due to injury.
The winner of the opening game of Saturday’s double header between PLDT and Nxled will be the first team through to the quarterfinals from Pool A.
PLDT vs Nxled will serve as a prelude at 4:00 pm, before Farm Fresh Foxies face off against the Galeries Tower Highrisers in the second game at 6:30 pm.
