She’s a three-time UAAP MVP, the top rookie pick of the PVL 2025 Draft, and now? A certified YouTube guest star. Bella Belen recently teamed up with content creator Mimiyuuuh in a fun and surprisingly heartfelt vlog that gave fans a peek beyond her volleyball career.
Now suiting up for the Capital1 Solar Spikers, Bella sat down for a candid chat where she looked back on one of her most pivotal decisions: choosing National University.
“Si NU matagal nang hindi nagcha-champion,” Mimiyuuuh said simply.
“‘Pag nag-champion ako at sinabing NU, maaalala ‘yung name ko. History, parang ganon,” Bella answered.
Mimiyuuuh, ever quick with the punchline, replied, “‘That’ girl talaga siya, gusto niya ng something different!” then added with a laugh, “Ay, grabe ka naman. Tinalo mo si Jose Rizal ah!”
That mix of grit and humor is exactly what makes Bella’s journey so relatable.
For her, it was never just about winning—it was about meaning something. And that kind of mindset has taken her far.
In another fun twist, the two discovered that Bella shares a birthday with none other than The Phenom herself, Alyssa Valdez.
“At ang nakakatawa, ka-birthday mo pala si Alyssa!” Mimiyuuuh exclaimed.
Bella smiled: “Yes, opo.”
“Kaya baka ‘yong may mga ganung birthday, meant talaga to be a volleyball superstar,” Mimiyuuuh added.
“So kung gusto niyo pong magka-anak ng volleyball player,” Bella joked, “i-ire niyo po sa June 29.” (laughs)
Off the court, Bella keeps things simple. No glamorous routines, no packed social calendars—just pure recharge mode.
“Natutulog, nanonood ng movie, ganun lang po ako. Parang wala po akong energy na makihalubilo,” she said when asked about her usual off-days.
Mimiyuuuh couldn’t believe it: “So introvert ka? Introvert ka pa sa lagay na ‘yan?”
Mimiyuuuh paused, then laughed: “Ano tawag sa ganun ate, introvert siya, pero extrovert siya sa mga (kilala na niyang) tao?”
“Inverter!” Bella cracked.
