The Leo Austria-Chot Reyes coaching rivalry continues.

After they square off in the ongoing PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup Finals, San Miguel mentor Austria and TNT chief tactician Reyes will call the shots in the All-Star Game.

Which team they are handling in the mid-season spectacle slated March 6 to 8 has yet to be determined.

The league revives the North-South format, where the players battle for regional pride, in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

Kapampangan star Japeth Aguilar of crowd darling Ginebra, and San Miguel behemoth and Cebuano pride June Mar Fajardo will set aside their friendship anew as they are set to banner the North and South teams, respectively.

Austria, Reyes and the rest of the coaches will determine which players will take the remaining spots in both rosters.

Like most sportswriters, Jan Ballesteros once dreamed of becoming a professional hooper. But he learned the hard way that it’s not for everyone.

He continues to be involved in the sport he loves, but this time as a member of the PBA Press Corps. Aside from primarily covering the PBA, he is also assigned to cover Gilas Pilipinas.
