A four-day Batang PBA tournament will be held in Doha, Qatar, early next year. A total of 48 teams across four age groups will see action in the global edition of the competition.

The league made the announcement in an article posted on its website on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Batang PBA’s first ever international edition will see 48 teams in four divisions (U12, U14, U16, and U19) competing in the event in Doha, Qatar next year.
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial couldn’t be any more proud with this recent feat, which is part of the league’s plans in celebration of its golden anniversary.
“Nagawa natin 'yung plano natin na mag-global. Naglaro tayo sa Dubai, sa Bahrain at ngayon, itong Batang PBA,” he said.
“Kasama ito sa mga vision natin sa PBA lalo na ngayon na nagse-celebrate tayo ng ating 50th anniversary.”
There’s no exact date yet, but the league said the four-day tournament is expected to be slated late January or early February at the ACS International Doha School.
Ginebra deputy coach Richard del Rosario will be at the helm of the inaugural event.
