Sedrick Barefield and the Blackwater Bossing aim to stop their skid when they take on the streaking NLEX Road Warriors in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Match starts at 5:15 p.m. at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The Bossing (1-2) are eager to arrest a two-game slide after falling short in a 100-110 defeat to Rain or Shine.

Despite trailing by 19 early, Blackwater showed resilience with a massive 36-16 third-quarter surge that briefly gave them control.

However, the Elasto Painters regained their rhythm behind Adrian Nocum’s late-game heroics to send the Bossing to back-to-back losses.

Richard Escoto led the charge with 20 points on a perfect 3-of-3 clip from beyond the arc, while rookie Jack Cruz-Dumont impressed again with 19 markers. Christian David added 18 points, and Barefield finished with 15 in the loss.

Head coach Jeff Cariaso will look to build on that mid-game fightback as Blackwater faces a tough test against NLEX (3-1), which is riding high on a two-game winning streak.

A win would not only halt their skid but also give the young Bossing roster a confidence boost against one of the league’s hottest teams.
