TNT (3-1) currently sits in a five-way tie on top of the standings alongside Magnolia, Converge, Rain or Shine, and NLEX.

The Tropang 5G are coming off a statement 130-92 win over Titan Ultra, where they poured in 40 points in the second quarter to pull away for good.

Henry Galinato turned out to be the surprise spark, finishing with 16 points, while Mike Nieto tallied 15 points and seven rebounds. Oftana added a double-double of 14 points and 10 boards in the wire-to-wire victory.

Head coach Chot Reyes hopes TNT sustains its momentum against a Meralco side (3-3) that’s looking to regain its form after an 85-89 loss to NLEX.

The Bolts are set to play a grueling stretch in November with three East Asia Super League assignments, starting against the Taoyuan Pauian Pilots on November 2.

A win would give TNT much-needed separation from the crowded leaderboard and boost its bid for early control of the Philippine Cup race.
