Ronald Tubid made his first public appearance since being appointed as the new Terrafirma chief tactician, joining other coaches in the PBA Draft Combine Thursday, Sept. 4.
New Terrafirma head coach Ronald Tubid said his team remains undecided about which player to tab as the first pick in the PBA Season 50 Draft.
Tubid had this to say during the first day of the Draft Combine at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig Thursday, Sept. 4.
“For now, undecided pa rin pero going there na, kung sino dito ang mapipili. Pinag-uusapan na namin ng coaching staff saka ng management,” said Tubid.
Among the 128 applicants are Juan Gomez de Liaño, Dalp Panopio, Geo Chiu, Will Gozum and LJay Gonzales.

Pressed to reveal his shortlist, the first time PBA head coach gave a shy smile before answering.
“We have a list na pero hindi pa sing-100 percent kasi ‘What if ganito, ganiyan?’ Maraming tanong, eh,” Tubid said.
“Pero mayroon na kaming pinagpipilian for No. 1. Pero as of now, hindi muna sasabihin kasi surprise.”

The Dyip are rebuilding their roster after almost selling the franchise late in Season 49.
Right now, there are about seven players who have an active contract with the team, and Tubid and Co. look to build on that.
