Team Spain is going all-in in Paris.

22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal will team up with reigning Roland Garros titleist Carlos Alcaraz in the upcoming Olympic Games Paris 2024, the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation announced on Wednesday, June 12.

Rafa is now set to compete in his third Olympic Games, winning gold in the singles competition in 2008 in Beijing before capturing another gold, this time in the men’s doubles event, with Marc Lopez at Rio 2016.

"My main goal now is to play Olympics," Nadal said after exiting in the first round of the French Open on May 27. "That's going to be here. So I need to prepare myself the proper way to try to arrive here healthy and well prepared, and then let's see."

Alcaraz, meanwhile, is coming off a triumphant Roland Garros campaign where he lifted his third major title- and first in the French Open- after beating German Alexander Zverev in a five-set comeback, 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.

The 21-year-old and world no. 2 Alcaraz will now make his Olympic debut in the same venue he hoisted his latest major title.

Spain’s squad also consisted of Pablo Carreno Busta, Alejandro Davidovich and Marcel Granollers for the men's competition and Sara Sorribes Tormo and Cristina Bucsa for the women's play.
