World no. 1 Poland remained dominant after firing past Canada in four sets, 25-18, 23-25, 25-20, 25-14, in the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship Round of 16 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, September 20.

The Polish squad, who are going for their fourth straight Finals appearance in the global joust, bucked a second-set defeat against the Canadians. From there, Poland took control of the third and fourth frames for a commanding victory.

It was a balanced outing for Poland’s trio of Kamil Semeniuk, Bartosz Kurek, and Wilfredo Leon.

Semeniuk finished with 18 points, while Leon and Kurek had 14 and 13 markers, respectively.

Poland will face Turkiye in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, September 24, still at the MOA Arena.
