The red-hot PLDT High Speed Hitters will put their 10-game winning streak on the line when they clash with visiting Kobe Shinwa University in the PVL Invitational on Monday, August 25, 4 p.m. at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

Riding the momentum of their PVL on Tour crown, the High Speed Hitters (3-0) have looked as dominant as ever in the tournament, stringing back-to-back sweeps in their last two outings to solidify their place among the early contenders and are a win away from securing a spot in the championship match.

Rookie spiker Alleiah Malaluan has been a revelation, posting double-digit performances in her first two games and giving PLDT another weapon on offense alongside its seasoned core.

But their toughest test yet comes in the form of Kobe Shinwa (1-0), a Japanese guest squad that has emphasized adjusting to the fast-paced brand of Philippine volleyball.

The visitors began their campaign with a rousing win over ZUS Coffee, highlighted by Nagisa Komatsuda’s 15-point performance, and now brace for a far more formidable foe in PLDT.

Kobe Shinwa enters a grueling stretch of four matches in five days, starting with Monday’s showdown against the streaking High Speed Hitters.

PLDT, meanwhile, will look to extend its flawless run to 11 straight victories, leaning on its chemistry and depth as it seeks to protect its unbeaten slate.
