Australia Boomers go for youthful lineup in bid for FIBA Asia Cup three-peat

Australia is fielding in a youthful team for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Back-to-back champions in the quadrennial continental meet, the Boomers look to retain the crown with a lineup whose average age is just 23.8 years.

No player from Australia’s 2022 conquest will be playing in the 2025 edition that kicks off on August 5.

Australia, the top-ranked team in the FIBA Asia region, is bunched with Qatar, South Korea, and Lebanon in Group A.
