Manny Pacquiao on a football field?

That’s exactly what happened — but as part of the Filipino boxing icon’s training for his upcoming WBC welterweight title bout against Mexican champion Mario Barrios.

Pacquiao put in the work at the Las Vegas Raiders’ training headquarters, where he playfully engaged in some football drills.

The Raiders’ official X account even shared a post featuring the eight-division world champion and his legendary trainer, Freddie Roach, during their recent visit.

One of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters, the 46-year-old came out of retirement to face Barrios. Pacquiao (62-8-2) has not fought professionally since August 2021, when he lost a WBA welterweight title fight to Yordenis Ugas.

The former senator’s last professional victory came in 2019 via a narrow split-decision over Keith Thurman. His most recent win by knockout was a 7th-round TKO against Lucas Matthysse in 2018.

Meanwhile, Barrios (29-2-1) is aiming for a better performance after his most recent fight against Abel Ramos ended in an anti-climactic split-decision draw.

The July 20 bout will be aired on Cignal TV and the Pilipinas Live app.
