Justin Brownlee, Scottie Thompson, Kai Sotto headline pool as Gilas begins training on Monday for final FIBA window

Gilas Pilipinas will hit the ground running beginning on Monday. 

Head coach Chot Reyes said this on Friday after the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas released the official pool for the sixth and final window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers next month.

Ginebra resident import Justin Brownlee, whose Filipino citizenship was granted last January 12, heads the 24-man national team pool. 

Brownlee will be joined by teammate and reigning PBA MVP Scottie Thompson, as well as Gilas mainstays and PBA players June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, RR Pogoy, Raymond Almazan, CJay Perez, and Chris Newsome.

Overseas Filipino ballers in Kai Sotto, Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena, Ray Parks Jr., Jordan Heading, Dwight Ramos, and Carl Tamayo also comprise the pool that will host Jordan and Lebanon.

Also tapped were youg guns like Calvin Oftana, Jamie Malonzo, Arvin Tolentino, Jerom Lastimosa, Francis Lopez, Schonny Winston, Kevin Quiambao, and Mason Amos.

Naturalized player Ange Kouame completes the pool from which head coach Chot Reyes will form his final lineup for the last window.

Reyes said training begins on Monday.
