Team Liquid PH capped a dominating run with an impressive gentleman’s sweep of Selangor Red Giants OG Esport in the Grand Finals, ruling the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2025 on Saturday, August 2.
After back-to-back semifinal finishes in 2023 and 2024, TLPH finally nailed the elusive MSC crown and became the first Philippine squad to rule the tournament since RSG Philippines in 2022.
Thanks to his impressive play, EXP laner Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya stamped his class by winning the Finals MVP award.
Sanford’s impeccable usage of Lapu-Lapu ignited a resounding Game 2 response for Team Liquid PH after the reigning MPL PH champions dropped the opener.
With the momentum on their side, TLPH secured the next two games for a commanding 3-1 lead with jungler Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno and Kiel "Oheb" Soriano joining forces.
It didn’t take long for Team Liquid PH to close out SRG, needing only 15 minutes in Game 5 to finish an undefeated MSC run.
The victory also marked a crowning achievement for KarlTzy, who added the MSC crown to his impressive list of titles to go along with four MPL PH championships, two M-Series World Championships, and a SEA Games gold.
