Only one series win separates Fnatic ONIC PH from conquering the M6 World Championship, after toppling powerhouse Team Liquid ID in their upper bracket finals duel.
The Super Family moved one step closer towards history.
First to the M6 World Championship title is the still-undefeated Fnatic ONIC PH, after thwarting Team Liquid ID, 3-1, in their best-of-five upper bracket final encounter on Wednesday, December 11.
In the swing third game, the reigning MPL Philippines champions regained the upper hand with a resounding win behind Duanne “Kelra” Pillas' flawless 6/0/2 KDA.
FNOP did not waste time finishing their Indonesian counterpart off, taking the fouth game in just under 15 minutes.
Earlier, ONIC dominated the first salvo with a clean 10-0 dub, but TLID responded right away to level things up at one-game apiece.
FNOP now improved to 6-0, including a 3-0 Swiss stage campaign and KO round wins against Selangor Red Giants and also-ran Falcon Esports.
Team Liquid ID, meanwhile, is relegated to the lower bracket final and will await the winner of the Selangor Red Giants-Team Spirit showdown. The Grand Finals are set on Sunday, December 15.
