With just a month to go before the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025, top Philippine sports officials gathered at the Mall of Asia Arena Music Hall to rally fans and partners for the country’s biggest volleyball event to date.

FIVB executive vice president Ramon “Tats” Suzara, POC president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, PSC chairman Patrick “Pato” Gregorio, and Senator Alan Peter Cayetano led the call for support, sounding the battle cry “Set Na Natin ’To”.

The country is set to welcome 32 teams from September 12 to 28 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao and Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

"I think 30 days to go, we are ready. Ready na ang volleyball fans, buy more tickets, sa mga fans natin. We need to promote more para sa mga provincial fans natin,” said Suzara.

“We just need to push more promotions for the ticket sales, lalo 'yung mga matches na 'di pa masyadong popular. We need to promote it. We're giving special packages sa mga school, students, and lahat ng mga LGU,” he added.

The championship trophy was also on display as embassies of the 31 participating countries joined the festivities.

For the POC’s part, Gregorio stressed the rare opportunity to host such a high-profile event.

“We have to do this so well, we have to do this telling the world that this is the Philippines, we can host properly, this is the showcase of our nation, we are a very beautiful sports tourism destination,” said Gregorio.

“I think we all realize that maybe this will not happen again in our lifetime. Pagbutihan po natin, magsama-sama po tayo, magtulong-tulong po tayo because ‘Set na natin ’to,” he added.

Alas Men will open its campaign against Tunisia on September 12, followed by matches against Egypt and Iran to wrap up Pool A action.
