UAAP Season 88 heads to the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, March 4, as the NU Lady Bulldogs and the UE Lady Warriors headline a twin bill that also features the Ateneo Blue Eagles and the FEU Lady Tamaraws.

The matches will be shown live on One Sports and Pilipinas Live.

UE (0-4) faces a tall order as it goes up against a wounded NU side coming off its first loss of the season.

The Lady Warriors remain mired in an 18-game losing streak, but they continue to draw fight from their defensive standouts.

Ace libero Angge Reyes stood out in their last outing against UST, finishing with nine digs and eight excellent receptions in a steady performance at the backline.

UE will once again rely on that grit as it searches for a long-awaited breakthrough.

NU (3-1), meanwhile, is eager to steady the ship after absorbing a tough five-set defeat to the UP Fighting Maroons.

The loss was compounded by an injury to star rookie Sam Cantada, leaving the defending champions treading carefully heading into their next assignment.

Chammy Maaya tried to rally the Lady Bulldogs with 11 points in the losing effort and is expected to take on a bigger role as NU aims to quickly return to its winning ways.

In the other matchup, Ateneo (0-4) hopes to finally crack the win column against an FEU side that evened its record at 2-2.

Jihan Chuatico provided a spark for the Blue Eagles with seven points in their last game against La Salle, while Lovely Lopez dazzled with six points to power the Lady Tamaraws past Adamson.

With crucial early-season positioning at stake, both matches promise high-intensity battles under the Big Dome lights.
