DLSU seeks a for a quick return to the win column as the Green Archers battle current co-leaders NU Bulldogs in the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament Sunday, Oct. 12, at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.

La Salle (2-2) looks to bounce back after a tough 81-74 loss to rival Ateneo in its previous outing.

 

The Green Archers nearly erased a 31-point deficit behind a spirited 36-point fourth-quarter surge but ultimately fell short.

Team captain Mike Phillips led the charge with 17 points, 20 rebounds, and six assists, including 14 offensive boards that produced 20 second-chance points for the Taft-based squad. 

Kean Baclaan, returning from an ankle injury, added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Jacob Cortez chipped in 10 markers.

La Salle currently sits at fifth place and is determined to regain its footing before closing the first round with matchups against winless UE and defending champions UP.
