UAAP: National University gains steam, Lady Bulldogs cruise to straight-sets win over Adamson

National University racked up its second win in a row after sweeping Adamson University, 25-17, 25-20, 25-18, 25-20, in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

The Lady Bulldogs were spearheaded by setter Camilla Lamina as she finished with 17 excellent sets.

The trio of Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon, and Vange Alinsug were also dominant in their win over the Lady Falcons. Solomon finished with 17 points, while Belen and Alinsug added 15 and 12 markers, respectively.

The Lady Bulldogs were dominant in the first two sets, with Belen and Solomon doing damage from all angles.

In the third set, the Lady Falcons managed to keep the score close, but an Erin Pangilinan spike and Belen attack secured the victory for the Lady Bulldogs.

With the win, NU moves to 2-1 in the standings, tied with idle La Salle and FEU.

Adamson, meanwhile, drops to 1-2 alongside University of the East.
