As proven by recent events, anything Deanna Wong does seemingly turns into headlines on social media.
Deanna Wong seems to be the star of Philippine sports this 2022—at least according to Google searches.
In the top 10 list released by Google on Wednesday, Wong was 10th on Google’s top sports-related searches in the Philippines. It’s worth noting that she is the only athlete on it. Other searches in the list include “Warriors vs Celtics,” “NBA Standings 2022,” and “PBA Schedule,” just to name a few.
The star of the Choco Mucho Flying Titans is also among the most-searched female personalities, ranking 3rd in the search engine’s list. Only above Wong were Amber Heard and Kris Aquino. Meanwhile, Ricci Rivero, former UP guard and part of the Fighting Maroons' Season 84 championship squad, is the most-searched male celebrity.
Wong, fondly called Boss D, has been making headlines on or off the court. Whether it’s the success or struggles of her squad in PVL or whether it’s about her love life, fans and volleyball supporters have been tuning in to get the latest in Wong’s life. These, of course, have not all been positive. Recently, Wong and the rest of the Flying Titans have been at the center of the snubbing controversy while they were in Boracay. Nonetheless, it’s safe to say that many are still in support of Wong and Choco Mucho.
