The Cignal Super Spikers have quietly shown a consistent pattern across their recent victories in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
A sharp focus on first contact has quietly become the common thread behind the Cignal Super Spikers’ wins in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Head coach Shaq Delos Santos showed his surprise at Cignal's reception discipline after once again finishing a match without conceding a service ace, marking the third time it has happened this conference.
The trend has come against quality opposition, including wins over Galeries Tower Highrisers, Choco Mucho Flying Titans, and most recently, the PLDT High Speed Hitters.
"Malaki 'yung bagay," Delos Santos said during the post-game press conference. "Bihira kasi siya mangyari, lalo na pag pressured game. Investment din namin 'yan sa serve-receive, pati sa game plan kung paano kami mag-serve at mag-receive."
Cignal showcased that consistency on Tuesday, sweeping PLDT, 25-21, 25-19, 25-23, at the FilOil Centre in San Juan to bounce back from its first loss of the conference against Nxled.
For Delos Santos, the numbers reflect more than just execution, emphasizing the team’s collective commitment on the floor.
"'Yung commitment talaga nila," he said. "The way ko sila pinapanood, naka-focus talaga. Kahit ako nadadala ng adrenaline—'yung mga tumatalsik na bola, gusto mo rin kunin. Nakakatuwa talaga."

The victory not only returned Cignal to the win column but also reshaped the All-Filipino Conference race.
With PLDT suffering its first loss, there are now no unbeaten teams in the field, eliminating the possibility of a direct semifinal berth.
"Siyempre, malaking impact sa amin 'to," Delos Santos said. "Makakakuha din kami ng advantage dahil nasa magandang ranking kami. Mahirap siyang i-maintain, pero tatrabahuhin namin."
Cignal will aim to build on its momentum when it faces the Akari Chargers on Saturday, February 28, at the same venue.
