The Creamline Cool Smashers look to strengthen their hold on a top-four quarterfinal seed as they face the surging Cignal Super Spikers in a pivotal 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference matchup on Tuesday, November 18, at the Ynares Center Montalban.

The defending champions enter the contest sitting at fourth with a 5-2 record. But with the standings extremely tight and only two elimination playdates remaining, their position is far from secure.

A win over the Super Spikers would give the Cool Smashers breathing room as they head into the quarterfinals next Monday.

Team captain Alyssa Valdez continues to be the steady heartbeat of Creamline’s system. Her leadership and smart scoring have been crucial in the team’s recent turnaround, powering the Cool Smashers to back-to-back victories after a shaky start to the round.

Alongside her, import Courtney Schwan has provided heavy firepower, while Tots Carlos, Michele Gumabao, Pangs Panaga, and setter Kyle Negrito keep Creamline’s core balanced and battle-tested.

For Creamline, controlling the tempo and limiting Cignal’s confidence-building runs will be key.

Valdez’s reception and transition offense is expected to be tested, which could eventually determine whether the Cool Smashers keep their hold on a top-tier seed — or get dragged into an even tighter scramble.

Either way, the 10-time PVL champions are ready to kick it into another gear as the knockout round approaches.

First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
