Jema Galanza embraced Creamline's sweep of ZUS Coffee as a much-needed reset, vowing to channel the team's grit heading into the PVL Invitational bronze medal match.
Jema Galanza made sure Creamline ended the preliminaries on a high note following a bounce-back sweep of ZUS Coffee, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21, in the 2025 PVL Invitational on Friday, August 29, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Galanza led the charge with a triple-double of 18 points, 13 excellent digs, and 11 excellent receptions.
More than the numbers, the 28-year-old spiker was just happy to see the Cool Smashers get back in the win column.
“Masaya and dagdag momentum lang din bago kami makapaglaro ulit sa bronze [medal match],” Galanza shared. “Sabi nga ni coach, kailangan na lang namin talaga mag-move on sa two games na natalo kami. In-enjoy na lang namin itong last game namin.”
For Galanza, the support of her teammates and coaches has been her biggest motivation.
Despite failing to defend their Invitational title, she emphasized that Creamline’s collective fight remains intact.
“Alam naman din namin sa sarili namin na ginawa naman 'yung best namin, kaso nga, hindi lang kami umabot sa dulo,” she said. “Hindi naman para damdamin namin kasi may medal pa rin naman kami na pwedeng iuwi.”

Looking ahead to the bronze medal match, Galanza vowed that the Cool Smashers will give everything they have left in the tank.
Creamline will battle for its 19th straight podium finish on Sunday against Chery Tiggo.
“Bibigay talaga namin lahat,” said Galanza. “Walang magrereklamo kahit anong bola dumating, as in bibigyan namin ng 100% naming effort. At ie-enjoy namin, kasi 'yun 'yung medyo nawala—'yung saya sa loob ng court.”
"I think ito na 'yung time na ma-fill namin ulit 'yung 'yung love namin sa paglalaro ng volleyball and 'yung kung gano'ng ka-importante rin 'yung bawat isa sa amin," she added.
