The Creamline Cool Smashers found their groove against ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles to return to the win column in the 2025 PVL Invitational.
Creamline ended its two-game losing skid with a commanding sweep of ZUS Coffee, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21, in the 2025 PVL Invitational on Friday, August 29, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The Cool Smashers improved to 2-3 ahead of their bronze medal match, while the Thunderbelles ended their Invitational campaign winless at 0-5.
Jema Galanza starred with a triple-double of 18 points, 13 excellent digs, and 11 excellent receptions.
Tied at 18-all in the third set, Creamline leaned on Galanza to give them a much-needed four-point cushion against ZUS Coffee, who saw the return of AC Miner, Alyssa Eroa, and Chinnie Arroyo.
While the Thunderbelles threatened to cut the deficit, Rose Vargas delivered back-to-back hits, including an off-the-block hit to end a 1 minute rally, to seal the victory.
Creamline will look to continue their streak of podium finishes against Chery Tiggo on Sunday, August 31, still at the Big Dome.
