Risa Sato has seemingly reaffirmed her commitment to the Chery Tiggo Crossovers despite her absence in the PVL on Tour, dispelling rumors of her departure by posting a heartfelt message on social media.
Risa Sato has seemingly made it clear that she’s still with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers.
The 12-time PVL champion shut down rumors of a possible exit from the Crossovers after being left out of the team’s 20-player lineup for the 2025 PVL on Tour.
In a heartfelt post on her Instagram story, Sato shared photos in Chery Tiggo colors and wrote, “Can’t wait to get back. Miss you guuuuys @cherytiggocrossoversph.”

The energetic middle blocker added that with another Instagram story stating, “I’ll be back soon.”

Sato last played for the Crossovers back on March 18 in a straight-set loss to her former team, the Creamline Cool Smashers.
Sato had made a surprising transfer from the Cool Smashers, where she played for six seasons, citing that she wanted a new challenge in her PVL career.

No official injury has been disclosed, and questions about her status have lingered. Even head coach Norman Miguel declined to elaborate when asked about her status with the team.
“Sorry, pero I’m not in the right position to say something about that. Siguro, ‘wag na lang muna,” said Miguel.
With her message, however, Sato appears to be setting the record straight that she remains a proud part of the Crossovers, and she’s simply biding her time.
