The Creamline Cool Smashers showed no mercy against the Capital1 Solar Spikers in their first match in the PVL on Tour.
VIGAN, ILOCOS SUR — Creamline hardly broke a sweat as it overwhelmed Capital1, 25-10, 25-21, 25-10, in the opening day of the PVL on Tour at the Chavit Coliseum here Sunday, June 22.
The Cool Smashers pounced on the absence of top pick Bella Belen and Leila Cruz to fashion out the commanding victory.
Creamline dominated the Solar Spikers in nearly all departments.
It outgunned its foe in attacks, 43-27, blocks, 8-1, and serves, 7-3. It also deftly manned the floor with 40 digs to Capital1's 28.
Kyle Negrito orchestrated the Cool Smashers' 19 excellent sets against Iris Tolenada's 14 for the Solar Spikers, who were better in receptions, 25-18.
Creamline minimized its errors, 10-17.

Jema Galanza led the Cool Smashers with nine attacks, two aces and one block for 12 points she spiked with eight digs.
But it was Michele Gumabao who was hailed Player of the Game with her 11-point contribution.
Jeanette Panaga backed them up with 10 points highlighted by three blocks.

Creamline will quickly shift its focus on pocketing win No. 2 against Akari, loser in its match against Cignal earlier, tomorrow.
Game time is at 6:30 p.m. following the 4 p.m. curtain-raiser between the Solar Spikers and other opening game winner HD Spikers.
Both matches will be held tomorrow in the same venue.
