Recently-crowned MVP and UAAP champion Bella Belen said she is still unsure whether she will be putting her name in for the upcoming PVL Draft as opportunities continue to open for the star NU Lady Bulldog.

Despite putting her name in as an applicant for the PVL Draft before the deadline passed on Friday, Belen said that she is still mulling her options until the draft combine rolls around.

Even as teams are surely interested in the decorated wing spiker, Belen isn’t keen on putting all her eggs in one basket at the moment.

“Hindi pa po [ako sure na magpapa-draft] kasi puwede pa po mag-withdraw," said Belen on an interview with Noli Eala’s Power & Play.

“After combine pa po malalaman kung magpapa-draft [ako].”

Asked if she had any offers overseas, Belen was hesitant to share, citing that it could stop the opportunities in its tracks if she spoke about them at the moment.

“Secret po charot. Baka ma-jinx,” she said in jest.

It can be recalled that Belen’s teammate Alyssa Solomon had previously considered overseas opportunities but had to withdraw due to eligibility issues.

But what’s certain at the moment for Belen is the national team, where she has already joined training in preparation for upcoming tournaments later this year.

Understanding her role in Alas Pilipinas, Belen said she is staying focused on what’s in front of her at the moment.

“National team muna po ang focus ko kasi sunod-sunod po liga ng national team. Ngayon po maganda po yung components ng team,” said Belen.

“Sa tingin ko po may chance po tayo at kailangan lang mag-prepare ng maayos. Chemistry po kasi is a big thing sa volleyball," she added.

Ultimately, where Belen ends up will be revealed in the coming weeks as the PVL draft timeline moves.

Belen’s other teammates, Erin Pangilinan and Sheena Toring, have likewise submitted their name in for the PVL draft.
