Capital1 spent the past year discovering and growing from tough lessons.

With Bella Belen now in place as a franchise cornerstone, the rebuild has gained clearer direction.

The 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference now serves as the first real test of whether the Solar Spikers have added enough around her to move forward.

A season spent laying groundwork

- All-Filipino Conference: 11th place

- PVL On Tour: 6th place

- Reinforced Conference: 7th place

The Solar Spikers struggled early, particularly in the All-Filipino Conference, which was before the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft.

But when Belen arrived, Capital1 showed signs of structure and improvement later in the year. Those results clarified the need for better support, spacing, and reliability around their primary scorer.

Key additions: Cherry Nunag, Pauline Gaston, Ezra Madrigal, Rachel Jorvina, France Ronquillo, Ysa Jimenez, Shaya Adorador, Jasmine Nabor

The offseason signings showed one clear move by the Solar Spikers—to reduce the load on Belen.

Capital1 is hoping to surround their franchise star with players who can defend, extend rallies, and contribute timely scoring, rather than relying on her to do everything.

The real test

Belen gives Capital1 a clear offensive identity. The question now is sustainability.

If the new pieces can adapt quickly to head coach Jorge De Brito’s system, the Solar Spikers should look far more competitive than a year ago.

Capital1 will also definitely expect a lot more from its young core in Leila Cruz, Roma Mae Doromal, and Pia Abbu.

Sunnier days ahead?

The Solar Spikers may not enter the All-Filipino Conference as a favorite, but they are no longer just filling a spot in the standings.

Their latest rebuild has given them direction—and with it, a chance to be more competitive on a nightly basis.

For Capital1, progress is the priority. And for the first time in a while, it looks within reach.
