Reeling from a deflating five-set loss to the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, the Petro Gazz Angels vented their ire on league newcomers Capital1 Solar Spikers in straight sets, 25-11, 25-19, 25-14, in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena on Tuesday.

The Angels banked on a blistering 10-0 run in the opening salvo, setting the tone for the rout that elevated their record to 5-2.

Brooke Van Sickle, the current top scorer of the conference, continued to sizzle with 19 points built on 15 attacks, three aces and a block, to go along with seven digs.

Jonah Sabete contributed nine markers, while Remy Palma and Iv Perez chipped in seven and six points, respectively.

Petro Gazz proved to be the more wasteful squad with 20 errors to Capital1's 14. but the Angels more than made up for it with their high-octane offense.

The Angels put up a 45-20 spiking differential, 7-2 blocking gap, and 9-2 ace disparity over the Solar Spikers.

No one from Capital1 breached double figures in scoring.

Des Clemente paced the losing side with six points, while Heather Guino-o had five markers for the Solar Spikers, who have now lost four straight.

Petro Gazz aims to carry over winning momentum when it faces defending champion Creamline, while Capital1 tries to snap out of its funk when it collides with Choco Mucho.

Both matches will be held on April 6, Saturday, at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex.
