The Chery Tiggo Crossovers crashed out of the PVL Invitational Conference after a heartbreaking five-set loss against the PLDT High Speed Hitters on Tuesday.

Expectations for the Crossovers were high after acquiring some of the best recruits out of college including Eya Laure, Jen Nierva, Joyme Cagande, and Ces Robles.

On paper, Chery Tiggo has one of the most lethal lineups in the entire league. So, coach Aaron Velez is asking fans to be understanding as the promising group figures out how to dominate. After all, they only had two months to prepare for the conference.

“I just want the fans to also be patient,” Velez told reporters after Tuesday’s match.

“Para sa amin bibigay namin 'yung best namin para mapakita namin 'yung kakayahan nang bawat isa. Deserve ng mga fans nilang makita silang maglaro.”

The Crossovers have won the PVL Open Conference with Jaja Santiago in 2021. Since then, the franchise has never appeared in any finals yet. But with the improved lineup, Velez has a bold claim and promise.

“'Wag lang tayong bibitaw, Chery will always be on top soon.”
