Chris Ross, bothered by an Achilles issue and a sprained ankle, hopes to be healthy in time for Game 4 of the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup Finals Wednesday, Jan. 28.
Chris Ross just could not catch a break.
Already bothered by a tight right Achilles, Ross sprained his left ankle in San Miguel's 95-89 win over TNT in Game 3 of the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup Finals Sunday, Jan. 25.
“Yeah, I twisted my ankle, and my Achilles is really, really tight. So, I got both of my legs that need to get better,” Ross said after the match at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
“I think, it's just, I'm just 40 years old. But I'll be fine.”

He wound up scoreless but had two rebounds, two assists and a steal in a little over 15 minutes of action.
Fortunately for Ross, he can get his rest in the two-day gap between Games 3 and 4.

Game 4 is set Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the same Pasay venue.
Tip off is at 7:30 p.m.
“It is what it is. I've got two days to get healthier. I'm a quick healer, so, hopefully, I'll be fine,” Ross said.

Asked if he will see action in Game 4, Ross is confident he will be out there strutting his stuff in hopes of helping the Beermen close in on the championship.
“'I'm going to play. I’m going to play for sure. I’ll be out there,” Ross said with a smile.

Like most sportswriters, Jan Ballesteros once dreamed of becoming a professional hooper. But he learned the hard way that it’s not for everyone.
He continues to be involved in the sport he loves, but this time as a member of the PBA Press Corps. Aside from primarily covering the PBA, he is also assigned to cover Gilas Pilipinas.
