Also-ran Blackwater tries to upset TNT and snap a brutal slide in their PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup curtain-raiser Friday, Dec. 19.

Blackwater comes into the contest reeling from a nine-game losing streak, having dropped its last two outings by an average of 21 points.

The Bossing’s most recent setback was a 92–116 loss to defending champion San Miguel, a game that underscored their struggles against playoff contenders.

Despite the skid, James Una emerged as a bright spot for Blackwater with his 19 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and a block, as SMB's defense focused on Sedrick Barefield and Christian David.

Bradwyn Guinto and Jed Mendoza also chipped in 16 and 15 points, respectively, but the Bossing lacked the depth and firepower to sustain a full 48-minute effort.

Still shorthanded with Dalph Panopio and Abu Tratter fulfilling their Gilas duties in the SEAG 2025, Blackwater faces a tall order against a TNT squad chasing a playoff incentive.
