Raymond Almazan will be playing for the Meralco Bolts in the PBA for a seventh season.
Raymond Almazan is staying with Meralco.
The Bolts signed Almazan to a two-year extension about two months before the PBA’s 50th season unfurls.
In the recently concluded Season 49 Philippine Cup, the 36-year-old Almazan normed 6.75 points and 5.0 rebounds for the one-time champions.
Almazan has been instrumental in handing Meralco its first title in the 2024 edition of the All-Filipino conference as he helped make things tough for San Miguel star and many-time Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo down low.

It was not the case this time, however, as Meralco failed to defend its crown as it faltered against the Fajardo-led Beermen in the quarterfinals.
Almazan will be playing in his seventh season donning the Meralco jersey. He has been with the team since being traded from Rain or Shine in 2019.
