Just days after bowing to San Miguel in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup Finals, TNT center Poy Erram received an unfortunate update about his knee injury.
Poy Erram’s injury woes have gone from bad to worse.
Days after losing the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup Finals to San Miguel, the TNT big man revealed that he has been diagnosed with a torn ACL on his left knee.
“With a heavy heart, I share that I’ve suffered an ACL injury,” he wrote on his Instagram post on Sunday.
After initially diagnosed with a meniscal tear in Game 4, Erram was forced to sit out the Tropang 5G’s last two games in the Finals.
It’s a tough setback for Erram, who has history with ACL tears dating back to his college days in Ateneo and his early PBA years with Blackwater.
Nevertheless, the 36-year-old cager is optimistic he’s going to recover well and overcome this latest ordeal.
“It’s painful, it’s frustrating, and I have every reason to be made. But I also know that God has a greater plan for me,” Erram said.
“This setback will only make me stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually.”
Erram then went on to express his appreciation for his fans’ unwavering support as he embarks on his journey to recovery.
“Thank you for your unwavering support. Your love means more than words can express,” he said.
