Ara Galang emerged as Strong Group Athletics’ marquee offseason acquisition, joining an already stacked veteran pool as SGA continues to reshape the PVL landscape ahead of the 2026 All-Filipino Conference.
Galang becomes the latest name added to SGA’s expanding haul that includes Mylene Paat, Imee Hernandez, Remy Palma, Chie Saet, Bia General, Royse Tubino, Renee Penafiel, Karen Verdeflor, and Cess Robles.

The veteran opposite arrives after a productive run with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers, where she played a key role in helping the franchise reach the playoffs in five of six conferences.
Galang’s impact was especially evident in the 2025 PVL on Tour, where she captured the Best Opposite Hitter award while steering Chery Tiggo to its first finals appearance since the club’s breakthrough championship run in the 2021 PVL bubble.

With her move to SGA secured, Galang’s eventual PVL destination has yet to be finalized. She is expected to suit up for either the Farm Fresh Foxies or the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles in the upcoming All-Filipino Conference.
