Kenneth Carl “Yue” Tadeo had no qualms over comments from Aurora Gaming PH’s haters as they prepare for M7.
Aurora Gaming PH mid laner Kenneth Carl “Yue” Tadeo isn’t taking insult over criticism of the team as they delve deep into preparations for the M7 World Championships slated in Jakarta later this month.
As far as he’s concerned, those calling out Aurora can only do just that — leave a comment or a message on social media. Not really doing anything productive.
With Aurora eager to prove they can hang with the best, Yue said that they’re focused on themselves.
“Wala po akong magagawa, kasi may dumaan lang sa videos, nagbabasa ako tapos natatawa lang ako kasi it’s their own opinion naman so wala kaming magagawa,” Yue told One Sports during the recent M7 sendoff in Quezon City.
“Kumbaga, yun lang, anong masasabi nila, ganun lang talaga.”
Among the points raised by critics was Aurora’s tendency to “choke” or give up big leads in crucial games, or sudden losses after momentum building streaks that lead to frustrating losses. This was the case in MPL Philippines Season 16, where Aurora Gaming entered the finals with only one loss.
However, they were stunned by eventual champions Team Liquid in a commanding sweep in the grand final, 0-4.

While it hurts to see bad things about his team, the 20-year-old did admit that there was some truth to the bashing. At the end of the day, they treated it as a wake up call and motivation to continue working on it.
With their biggest campaign of the year coming in a few weeks, Yue said that the work has been done.
“Ako agree ako [sa sinasabi ng bashers] kasi especially sa mga crucial games nagcchoke talaga kami, kumbaga, naging sakit namin siya which is siya yung inaayos namin or iniimprove namin ngayon,” Yue said.
“Tama naman yung mga sinasabi nila pero at the end of the day, kami kami parang magkakakampi yung magsasandalan sa isa’t isa,” he continued.
Battling on hostile ground
Adding color to Aurora Gaming PH and Team Liquid’s bid at M7 is that they will be facing some hostile crowds, with Jakarta also bringing big fan bases that will be rooting for the home bets.
But as far as Yue is concerned, it’s all the same — with only the players to be focused on.
No matter what the fans want, or who they’re cheering for, Yue believes that it will all come down to their hard work and who wants its more.
“Sa amin po, wala lang. Wala kaming mararamdaman na kaba or takot [na hindi namin home court] kasi pare parehas naman po kaming pumipindot, pare parehas naman kayong gumagamit ng utak, kumbaga, pagalingan lang talaga pagdating sa in-game,” he said.
Yue is heading into his second M-Series after previously competing with Blacklist International in M5.
Yue is joined by one-time world champion Edward Jay “Edward” Dapadap, Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto, Jan Dominic “Domeng” Del Delmundo, and Dylan Aaron “Light” Poblete Catipon in Aurora Gaming as they vie for the team’s first-ever M-Series title.
