Red-hot TNT Tropang 5G look to keep their streak alive as they face the slumping Blackwater Bossing in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup on Friday, June 6.

The match starts at 5 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

TNT (5-3) is surging at the right time, riding a five-game winning streak capped by a dominant 94-70 blowout of NorthPort.

Despite missing key guards Jayson Castro, Rey Nambatac, and Jielo Razon, the Tropang 5G haven’t missed a beat. Almond Vosotros stepped up in their absence, providing a timely spark after his call-up, while Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser made his much-anticipated return from an ACL injury to bolster the frontcourt.

The team also made a major mid-conference splash by acquiring sharpshooting guard Jordan Heading and two-way forward Mike Nieto—moves designed to strengthen their rotation for a potential Grand Slam run.

However, according to head coach Chot Reyes, Heading will not be suiting up just yet on Friday.

TNT will square off against a Blackwater squad that has dropped its last five games and sits at 1-7.

With momentum on their side and new weapons waiting in the wings, Tropang 5G are poised to tighten their grip on a top-four spot as the elimination round nears its end.
