Actress and global Filipina Liza Soberano took center field at the legendary Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles as she threw the ceremonial first pitch during the Dodgers vs. Mets game, joining thousands of fellow Filipinos in celebrating Filipino Heritage Night.

Dressed in Dodgers blue and flashing her signature charm, Soberano stepped onto the mound with pride and purpose, representing not only her personal roots but also the vibrant Filipino community in the United States.

Her pitch—modest but spirited—was met with cheers from kababayans in the stands, many waving Philippine flags and wearing heritage-themed Dodgers merch.

“So honored to be amongst all my kababayans throwing the first pitch at the Dodgers vs. Mets game for Filipino Heritage Night!” Soberano shared on Instagram. “I was so nervous, but I think I did okay?,” she wrote on Instagram.

Filipino Heritage Night has long served as a way for Major League Baseball to honor and uplift the rich traditions and contributions of the Filipino community—and Liza's appearance marked a proud moment of visibility on one of baseball’s biggest stages.
