The first order of duty for Team Lakay head coach Mark Sangiao is to remind his son Jhanlo Mark Sangiao to keep his head straight in his return to the ONE Championship stage.

The younger Sangiao faces the brash, flashy, and heavy-handed Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg in a bantamweight MMA bout at ONE Fight Night 33 on July 12 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

One look at the Mongolian fighter's highlights and it's understandable where Sangiao's worries are coming from.

Zoltsetseg will often try to lure his opponents out of their gameplan and exploit their overeagerness, and that isn't lost on the head coach.

"I'm always reminding him about that, especially when we're talking about the gameplan. Shine has the tendency to talk trash in the ring and showboat," he said.

"I always remind Jhanlo he'll try to throw him off his game, then connect on counters of his own when Jhanlo gets overaggressive. But yeah, we'll be ready for him. We have a gameplan for him."

The 47-year-old is making sure his son gets it, especially as his youth and aggression can be a double-edged blade the veteran Zoltsetseg can exploit.

It was one of the glaring weaknesses he had in the loss to the #4-ranked Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu, and he hopes his son gets to learn from it this time.

"It's more on the composure side of things. There are times when he still gets a little too eager in wanting to finish the fight," he said.

"He was so used to finishing fights quickly in the local circuit, now you have to work for it if you want to finish a fight. The level's so high right now you can't finish them that easily."
