The Converge FiberXers aim to return to the win column when they take on the struggling NorthPort Batang Pier in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup on Friday, May 16.

The match begins at 5 p.m. at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

Sporting a 4-3 record, Converge is eager to move past its disappointing 66-85 loss to Barangay Ginebra last Saturday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.

Known for their fast-paced style, the FiberXers struggled to find their rhythm, shooting just 31.3% from the field as Ginebra’s defense clamped down hard.

Despite the setback, Justine Baltazar delivered a solid effort with 13 points, 10 rebounds, a steal, and two blocks, while the rest of the squad looks to regain their offensive groove.

They’ll have a prime opportunity to do so against a NorthPort side that has lost four straight games and sits at 1-4.

Converge will be looking to reassert their might and size as it seeks to stay in playoff position with just a few games left in the elimination round.
