The Blackwater Bossing look to get back on the winning track as they take on the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup on Wednesday, May 7.

Game time is at 5 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Now at 1-3, the Bossing are eager to recover their form, but their chances hinge on the availability of top guns Sedrick Barefield and Christian David. Both players are dealing with injuries—Barefield nursing a hamstring issue and David recovering from an ankle sprain.

Their status remains uncertain heading into the matchup.

If neither can suit up, head coach Jeff Cariaso will be forced to lean heavily on the likes of RK Ilagan to shoulder the scoring load for a squad desperate to stay in the playoff race. Blackwater is coming off a 72-80 defeat to NLEX on May 2, where offensive rhythm was hard to come by.

Rain or Shine, for its part, sits at 2-2 and is also looking to bounce back following a 97-107 loss to Converge. The Elasto Painters may finally get reinforcements with Beau Belga (vertigo) and Caelan Tiongson (back spasms) possibly returning to action, making the task even tougher for the undermanned Bossing.
