Is a LeBron James-Kyrie Irving reunion possible?
Did Los Angeles Lakers mega star LeBron James commit tampering?
Former teammate Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards thought so.
Moments after reports that Brooklyn Nets playmaker Kyrie Irving requested a trade, The King posted this cryptic tweet.
Kuzma, of course, was just kidding.
But some fans are also hoping a reunion between James and Irving at LA could come to fruition. As of this writing, the Lakers have gone 6-4 in the last 10 games for a pedestrian 25-28 win-loss slate which is good for 12th place in the NBA’s Western Conference.
When they were still playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, the two won the Larry O’Brien trophy in 2016. The classic finale between the Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors saw LeBron James sealing the series with "the block" on Andre Iguodala and Irving nailing the go-ahead three-pointer.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers are among the teams interested in acquiring the services of the cat-quick guard, who will become a free agent in July.
